In the third and last part of the brush guide, we will be breaking down the specialty brushes and explain what they are do, and which breeds they are suited for.
ANDREAS SERIES
The Andreas Series is a Nylon/Boar bristle brush that comes in two sizes: medium and small. Originally when this line was released, there were three sizes, also a large. We retired the large brush as there wasn’t much need for a brush of that size. The Andreas Series brushes are great for drop coats, as the Nylon stimulates the oil glands, prompting the creation of more oil, while the boar bristles distribute the oil throughout the coat. This increases shine, and is excellent for finishing.

BOAR BRISTLE SERIES
Like the Andreas Series, our Boar Bristle brushes add a gorgeous natural shine thanks to the oils already present in the coat. These brushes are ideal for Smooth Coats as maintenance and finishing brushes. They also work great on wire and other coat types as chalk brushes.

IONIC SERIES
The Ionic Series is jokingly, but accurately, called our “Vacuum Brushes”. The Ionic charge present in the brass bristles suck dirt, dander, and other debris from the coat, while the boar bristles add a gorgeous shine. Created with terrier coats in mind, the Ionic Series is a great tool for wire, smooth and any coat with short hair.

T-RAKES
Our T-Rakes are a combination of our 011 Staggered Tooth Comb, and our signature ergonomic handle. These rakes are truly unique as their weight allows virtually zero effort in removing knots, tangles and even loose coat. You simply let the tool do the work for you, without pulling coat!
